              United Way Surpasses Goal!!

The Burlington/West Burlington Area United Way Board of Directors and Campaign Cabinet are very pleased to announce that the 2012 Annual United Way Campaign Goal of $627,012 has been successfully achieved.  Pledges received total $627,014 … 100.0% of the adopted goal.

This year’s success in reaching the Annual Campaign Goal is attributed to the involvement of many dedicated people, who continue to support the United Way each year.  The United Way Board of Directors commends and thanks all area contributors, along with the more than 350 volunteers, for their efforts to make this the 39thconsecutive, successful Annual United Way Campaign. With the help of loyal citizens and businesses, United Way can continue their mission, which is … “to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another”.

United Way funded agencies currently provide more than 250 programs and services in our area; and just over 50,000 people used these services in the 2011 year.
