United Way Mission: To increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another.

Funds raised will help support 15 local health care and human service agencies who provide programs for residents in our 40-mile service area.  Program services reach residents in Des Moines, Henry, Lee and Louisa counties in Iowa and parts of Henderson and Hancock counties in Illinois.

United Way funded agencies will receive allocations begining in January of 2015.

The demand for services is increasing and resources are often strained.  Working with many partners, United Way continually looks for long-term ways to ensure that people who need assistance are able to obtain that help.  Thank you for your thoughtful consideration to join this community-wide effort.  It is appreciated by many.

Funds raised during the Annual United Way Campaign benefit many people in the 40-mile radius service area.  Local United Way dollars provide assistance to people when they need it most.

Everyone's efforts and support are truly appreciated ... the impact it has on many people and their families is tremendous.

The United Way Pacesetter Division kicked off Wed., July 16, 2014 with a breakfast at the Pzazz Conference Center.

United Way's General Campaign will begin with a kickoff luncheon on Wed., Sept. 10, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at the Pzazz Conference Center.
